Environmental non-profit RiverLink welcomes Garrett Artz to the role of executive director with the organization. Artz takes the reins at RiverLink on Sept. 1 to continue their work to, as their mission statement says, promote the environmental and economic vitality of the French Broad River and its watershed as a place to live, learn, work and play.
West Asheville Business Association (WABA) launches WestAshevilleHistory.org by kicking off a scavenger hunt and premiering “Biking through West Asheville History,” a short film by West Asheville based Industrious Productions, at New Belgium Brewing, 21 Craven Street, Asheville, NC 28806, on Wednesday, July 13 from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Meet at the Westville Pub at 10:00am for breakfast provided by Westville Pub and Biscuit Head followed by a street clean up and storm drain marking.
Please, join us for a STREAM CLEAN UP from 3:00-5:00pm with RiverLink, followed by WABA WEDNESDAY: from 5:00-7:00pm at New Belgium Brewing’s Liquid Center.
WABA Wednesday visits the Essential Journeys Soap Studio located in the heart of West Asheville on Vermont Avenue.
