The Burton Street Community Association will be commemorating and celebrating the 4th year of the revival of the 1st Regional Agricultural Fair initiated and hosted by E. W. Pearson in 1913. This first Regional Agriculture Fair drew crowds in the thousands which included black and white attendees. The Agriculture Fair was first held in the historic Burton Street Neighborhood.

The 4th Agriculture Fair is being held on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6PM to 9PM and Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 10AM-8PM at 143 Burton Street in West Asheville. The Agriculture Fair will celebrate the community with programs, a parade, food, art and craft vendors, demonstrations, children’s activities, live music and more.

The Burton Street Agriculture Fair is being presented by the Burton Street Community Association and Co-Sponsored by the City of Asheville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Division and WNC Alliance. For more information, visit the Burton Street Community website.
