The City of Asheville is cleaning up graffiti vandalism.

Tough problems like ridding our city of graffiti vandalism can only be successful if the whole community works together. The goal of the 90-day intensive cleanup program is to help property owners rid their properties of graffiti at a minimal cost. The City of Asheville is covering up to $500 per incident of the cost of clean up through September 30, 2014.

Note, the $500 is per incident, not per building, so if you have been tagged again you can apply for assistance again.

So far the City has only used about 11% of the funds allocated for this clean up. Visit the dashboard at 1-2-3 Graffiti Free to see progress and track investment by city government and private property owners during the 90-day intensive cleanup program running July 1 – September 30, 2014.

If you are a property owner and would like to request assistance use the The Asheville App (available via App stores for free) on your smart phone or the companion website, email 123graffitifree@ashevillenc.gov or call 828.259.5960.

After September 30, 2014, property owners will be responsible for 100% of the cost of cleanup.
