Hard 2 Recycle Event 2014: Rescheduled for Jan 18, 2014
Saturday January 11th will be the first Hard 2 Recycle collection of 2014. Hard 2 Recycle events are free, public collections geared to bring awareness to other modes of recycling to our area. Join us in West Asheville as we collect items that would normally end up in the County Landfill.
The location for this recycling event will be the Aaron’s Rent to Own parking lot at 1298 Patton Ave. From 11am to 3pm our volunteers and sponsors will be on-hand to to breathe new lift into your items.
Time: 11 am – 3 pm (please no early or late drop offs)
Location: Aaron’s Rent to Own parking lot at 1298 Patton Ave.
Accepting: styrofoam, batteries, electronics, TVs (with a $6 fee) small appliances, metal, unusable clothing, working appliances, pet food and MORE.

Interested in Volunteering at this event?
Join other volunteers as we unload, carry, sort and DIVERT items that would normally end up in the Landfill.
Shifts:
1st – 10am to 1pm
or
2nd – 1pm to 4pm
Duties:
Traffic Engineer (Keep cars from hitting Volunteers)
Info Booth (Hand out surveys, answer questions with a Magic 8 Ball)
Station Keeper (Manage and sort one of the many unloading points for recyclables)
The Muscle (Lifting anything from a 32 inch TV to a bag of Styrofoam)
