- books & cardboard
- electronics, appliances, batteries, metals (TVs and CRT monitors accepted for a $6 fee)
- styrofoam & packing peanuts (white styrofoam only)
- cell phones, printer cartridges, Cds, DVDs
- used cooking oil
- donations for the ReStore
- donations for animal sanctuary
Founded in 2011 by Rainbow Recycling, Hard 2 Recycle events are coordinated by Asheville GreenWorks. These free to the public collections bring awareness to modes of recycling in our area beyond curbside recycling. The goal is to educate, collect and divert items that would normally end up in the Landfill – i.e Styrofoam, Electronics, Books, Batteries, Cooking Oil and much more.
