For more information about the restoration see this WLOS story.

This cleanup will focus on mid-upstream to rid the area of trash and other pollutants before it flows past the New Belgium Brewery and into the French Broad River. RiverLink will supply trash bags, weighters, trash grabbers, and gloves. Participants should wear clothes that can get wet and muddy (long pants are recommended due to the thick vegetation), sturdy shoes, and bring water. If there isn’t much trash, a group can also work on stormdrain stenciling.

Please sign up, here so RiverLink can make sure to have enough tools and supplies for all. Meet at Sol’s Reprieve, 11 Richland Street, for the clean up.
