Russ Towers, founder of Second Gear, has been a WABA member since 2000 and a Board Member and our Treasurer for 7 years. We are so grateful for his amazing energy and dedication to advocating for West Asheville businesses. Second Gear has experienced tremendous business growth and is moving to a new location in the River Arts District that will allow them to expand their retail offerings with more bikes, boats, and clothing. While Russ is completely irreplaceable, we are looking for people interested in being part of The WABA Board of Directors. We meet once a month on Thursdays at 8:30 AM and work with City Planners, the Department of Transportation, and the Asheville Police Department to support West Asheville businesses. This is a great opportunity to help us serve the greater community.
