“We will be a small neighborhood Italian focused take-out Delicatessen providing our community with simple yet soulful Deli foods. Sandwiches will be at the forefront, and we work off basic principle that bread is the foundation,” said Chef Peter Affatato, who owns Nona Mia along with his wife, Yolie, “We will be baking our classic Italian breads for our sandwiches using our 14 year old starter – which was born right here in Asheville – it’s a native!” Plus loaves will be available for takeout as well.

For Nona Mia’s loyal dinner patrons, traditional dinner service will continue on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 4:30 p.m. This means you still get to enjoy your favorite regular dishes – like Fettucini Alfredo, Lasagne, Chicken Piccata, and Nona’s Penne with Sunday Gravy – along with Chef Peter’s amazing Kitchen Specialties. Each dish draws from the Italian-American tradition in food that weds the centuries-old genius of Old-World cuisine with New-World ingredients and modern panache.!
