The Summer Cycle route winds through historic West Asheville, the River Arts District and over into Emma. Throughout the ride you’ll be journeying on streets where bikes share the roadway with motorized vehicles, streets with separate bike lanes, and greenways shared with pedestrians.

Basic route info:

  • Route length: 13.7 miles
  • Elevation change: +683 feet / – 750 feet

Skills you’ll get to practice:

  • Communicating with fellow riders
  • Riding safely in a large group
  • How to share travel space with pedestrians and motorized vehicles
  • Properly using signals and obeying traffic laws
  • Having fun, even on those tough uphills
