2022 is going to be an exciting year for West Asheville! Austin Walker is stepping down as WABA president after a 6 year term. We are grateful he has agreed to remain on the Board of Directors and value his contributions to the Executive Committee of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce. ”I was honored to be able to serve West Asheville businesses during a wildly successful and challenging time,” said Walker.
Lilliana Woody, of the Isis Music Hall, is our new president. Her goals for WABA are to increase membership so that all of West Asheville is represented and grow member engagement. “Together we show unity and strength. Join us and bring your ideas. Let’s begin 2022 together.”
Our new Vice President is Billy Mizijewski of Mark Herron Tattoo and our Secretary is Nancy Walton of Trinity United Methodist Church and our Treasurer is Sharon Gordon of Mainstream Professional Accounting.
The NCDOT and City of Asheville is planning to repave Haywood Road this year, a project delayed from 2020. We need input from all business owners to ensure this project is executed effectively.
Our first board meeting of the year is January 20th and we want to hear from you! Please send all of your ideas, questions, and concerns to
