The Sixth Annual West Asheville Garden Stroll (WAGS), a community supported, free event will be held on Saturday, September 13th from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  During the past five years, more than 1000 people have strolled through 75 gardens in West Asheville.  This event attracts local people as well as out-of-staters, some for the first time.

The 2014 gardens will be on Brevard Road – Olney Road – Davenport Road – Morningside Drive.  We are focusing on the neighborhood Pollinator Corridor and will start at the Francine Delaney School.

We’ve relied on businesses like yours to sponsor this event and keep it free and accessible for everyone.  It’s easy for you to help.  We have 3 levels of support:

  • Primary Sponsors (limited to 3) at the $250 level
  • Supporters at the $100 level
  • Friends at the $25 level

All businesses will be listed in the WAGS brochure, as well as the WAGS website (WestAshevilleGardens.com) with a link.  Primary Sponsors will be on the cover of the brochure with business logo and an opportunity to set up a table on the day of the event.  Supporters will have their business logo featured in the brochure.  Friends will have their business name listed in the brochure.

This year we have already granted $1100 in “Seed Money” to 4 local schools and 1 small business to help beautify their gardens.  Progress reports, including photos, will be displayed on the stroll day.  Your generosity will continue this exciting on-going program.

Payment must be received by July 31st for inclusion in the WAGS brochure.  The fundraising committee will follow-up with you soon.  Feel free to contact JoAnn Fisher at ncmtnjosie@gmail.com or (828) 423-6563 or
