West End Bakery and Cafe will be opening Friday and Saturday evenings beginning Friday, March 28 and offering desserts, coffee & espresso and small plates as well as beer, wine and mimosas.
Over the past few years, Haywood Road has seen a significant increase in the number of restaurants, bars, and music venues bringing more nightlife options to West Asheville. The West End Bakery & Café has been a cornerstone of the community since 2001, serving made-from-scratch baked goods, breakfast and lunch to an enthusiastic neighborhood base and an ever-increasing flow of tourists. They are now expanding their hours to include Friday and Saturday evenings from 7-11 PM.
Stop in to enjoy a beverage and dessert or savory snack before or after patronizing one of West Asheville’s fabulous eateries and music venues. Offerings will include small plates such as the Hot Mess, warm gooey pimento cheese and bacon for dipping, a Local Cheese Plate, and a Sunburst Smoked Trout Plate, among other options all served with Bakery baked bread, or gluten free chips or crackers. On the sweet side, patrons can choose from a rotating variety of cupcakes, chocolates, trifles, and bread puddings as well as our Classic Cheesecake drizzled with Caramel and Chocolate Ganache and a Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry Infused Whipped Cream. All can be paired with coffee or espresso drinks with organic free trade beans roasted next door at Bean Werks, or select red and white wines by the glass, Asheville Brewing Company beers, and Mimosas.
There will be an Open House Weekend March 28 and 29th for patrons to come sample offerings and celebrate West Asheville’s vibrant community.
