“Buncombe County Public Safety Communications Services staff are working diligently to address the issues currently being experienced by users of the non-emergency numbers for the Asheville Police Department, as well as non-emergency numbers for other public safety service providers throughout the county. Provisions Modern-Day Mercantile , created by Heather and Matt Wright, is a classic general store community hub with a broad selection of unique goods, eclectic gifts, and nostalgic heirloom-worthy supplies. Heather’s grandmother, Claudene Mchone, ran a small store out of her basement in West Asheville in the 1960s. Heather loved that her grandmother’s store was both a gathering place for neighbors and a resource for purchasing basic necessities. She and her partner are excited to carry on that family tradition through Provisions.
